Mindful Parents Group Outline
- .Week 1 – Introduction week. The most important aspect of this
week is to hear what kinds of parenting issues people in the group
would like to discuss. This is not a cookie cutter approach; I
don’t have a preset agenda. I work with what you all bring to the
table!
- Week 2 – An overview of the principles behind mindful
parenting. Trouble shooting the issues you had given me during
week 1 using those principles.
- Week 3 – Compassionate communication, we we’ll discuss the
fundamentals and work through real life scenarios.
- Week 4 – Coach the parent week. Each participant will have one
on one coaching session with Tracy. This week will be very
valuable for everyone. I have found that working in a group you
often learn more than on your own. Other parent’s questions will
prove to be enlightening to all!
- Week 5 – Special needs, I believe all children have particular
needs that are specifically theirs. This week bring your child’s
special needs to the for front, we will honor them for who the
are.
- Week 6 – Tying up the lose ends. This will be our last group
session and we will be sure that everyone’s needs have been met,
answer questions and say goodbye.
